Expressive Display Type Design

I play with letters. I play with their forms and proportions. I build them in ways that are not conventional. I use my favorite tools to draw and color them. I like to express letters rather than draw them. I had fun filling up pages from my sketchbook of letters I designed with monoline pens and color pencils. I think about recreating them as vector but they’ll lose their liveliness. So I think I may create watered down versions of them to create a typeface. Time will tell.
