Simple And Effortless Lettering Design

In 2012 I started a blog of quotes I lettered. The style of my lettering practice changed and evolved. I tried a variety of writing tools during my practice. My favorite? At the time it was the pointed pen and Sumi ink.

One of my early pieces used this quote attributed to Ann Caldwell Rice. I love the design’s simplicity. Sadly not all the blog entries were as simple and effortless as this one. That’s the way of art and creativity.
