Choice between geometric or organic construction

I chose this capital letter because I draw it often. I know what I can do with it in the moment. For construction it’s pretty versatile. It can be angular and geometric or bulbous and fluid. I like the latter because I have organic forms to play with. I can build on the forms with random lines and shapes. I can put color into the shapes.

Part of the creative process is letting go. As I develop the sketch my mind is calmed. Intuitive mark-making takes control. When I stop but not necessarily finish I have something new. I can review it for prompts for the next letter I create.

What letter did you decide to draw today? What was your personal spin on its creation and design?
