Be an adult and take some responsibility
When I restarted this blog, I wondered what I would write about. Lettering is the obvious subject. Does this blog have to be about lettering? No, not really. It could be lettering adjacent. The real subjects would be about the mundane details of my daily life. Maybe it’ll be a week in review about my life. I’ll add letters to the post to prove I’m the lettering guy - it’s my domain.
This week, my days are routine mostly. I get up, exercise, eat, go to work, come home, eat, watch some random show, then go to bed. Rinse and repeat. Simple life.
Sadly, Father’s Day uneventfully passed last weekend.
I had a day at my retail job. In my limited experience in retail, customers are generally lazy, whining kids. They can’t be bothered with the details that get their toys working. They want an authority figure to solve their problems. Ignorance is bliss unless some random online influencer says otherwise. Two customers I interacted with blamed everyone but themselves for their problems. The old tired adage about the customer is dead wrong. Critical thinking is too posh for the general public. Every day, bit by bit, I lose trust.
Here’s a page of the letter L which I like very much. The letters summed up my recent feelings for the week - Ls no!
Tools I used:
Muji Pink Highlighter Marker
Muji Pen
